    All dogs must be at least six months old, in good health, and have current required vaccinations (Rabies, DHLP, Parvo etc.). Proof of vaccinations is not required. All dogs should wear ID/license  tags at the Event. Please do not bring a dog that is ill, behaving abnormally or is in heat. Please remove your dog from the Event if they become ill or is behaving in any abnormal or aggressive manner. Attendees must comply with the City of Winnipeg Responsible Pet Ownership By-Law including Prohibited Dog Breeds.

  • No, Proof of vaccinations is not required. We trust that dog parents understand the importance of vaccinations for the health + welfare of their dog.

  • To ensure people can safely manage their dog during the event, there is a limit of one dog per adult Attendee (18+).

  • Yes, all dogs must remain on a leash no longer than 4 feet. No retractable leashes please. Harnesses are always a good choice! You may remove the leash when your dog is in the enclosed Zoomies Zone Off-Leash Dog Park, but you must remain with + supervise your dog inside the off-leash area. Do not leave your dog unattended in your vehicle or at the Event at any time.

  • There will be special Dog Potty Stations at the Event (look for the red fire hydrants!). Please be responsible - clean up after your dog + dispose of any waste in the designated Dog waste bins. Limited Dog waste bags will be provided but please also bring your own.

  • CLICK HERE for BarkFest Tickets BarkFest tickets are available to purchase online. After you purchase your tickets, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your tickets attached as a PDF. Print your tickets or save + display on your mobile device for Event entry. Limit one dog per adult attendee 18 years of age or older. Dogs + Kids under 5 are FREE Admission when accompanied by an Adult. FREE Re-entry Sunday if you request a wristband from the BarkFest Market Info Booth before leaving the Event on Saturday. Event will take place Rain or Shine. Note: BarkFest capacity is limited + tickets are subject to availability, be sure to buy in advance to guarantee your tickets. A limited number of tickets may be available at the Gate (subject to availability). Buy in advance to avoid disappointment + lineups!

  • VIP (Very Important Pup!) Ticket holders can bypass the regular line + use the Priority Entry Ticket Lane. Pick up your Wag Bag full of toys + treats + BARKS + BONES Magazine at the VIP Tent just past the Ticket Entry Gate.

  • Yes, no problem with other people in your group with regular tickets entering with you, limit 2 other people to keep the VIP Priority Entry Lane mainly for VIP Ticket holders (any children accompanying VIP Ticket holders are an exception, they can enter with you no problem).

  • Yes! If you want to upgrade a General Admission to a VIP Ticket + Wag Bag, simply email the box office at support@tobatickets.ca with Subject Line “BarkFest Upgrade to VIP”.

  • No need to exchange your tickets. Tickets are good for one entry only on either day so simply use your Saturday tickets for Sunday.

  • If you can’t find your confirmation email with your PDF tickets attached, check to ensure your email program hasn't diverted it to a quarantine, junk, or other folder. If you still can’t locate your tickets email, contact us at hello@moonandstarsproductions.ca + include the full name used to make the purchase, along with your Ticket Order # if you have it.

  • You bet! Enjoy some beverages + snacks in the Barks + Brews Beer Tent (located next to the Red Barn). There’s also a Whine + Muttini Bar + K9 Café inside the BarkFest Market by the front entrance. Please note that no alcohol will be permitted beyond each designated licensed area.

  • Yes, strollers are allowed for both human and furry kids inside the BarkFest Market, as well as outside in the Festival Park.

  • Yes! There’s an ATM just inside the BarkFest Market main entrance doors (Red River Exhibition Place).

  • BarkFest Staff will be available at the Info Booth located just inside the Market Entrance (Exhibition Place). Staff will also be outside at the Ticket Entrance gate + throughout various areas during the entire event. In case of any issues, illness, or injury for you or any dogs, find a member of the BarkFest Team or Security, or go to the Animal Welfare/Emergency Medical Services Tent by the Zoomies Zone. For medical emergencies call 911 + also notify BarkFest staff or Security.

  • In accordance with the City of Winnipeg Smoking by-law the venue is designated non-smoking. This includes cigarettes + e-cigarettes. Smoking is permitted outdoors but must be 8 meters from a building entrance. The consumption of cannabis is not permitted at Red River Exhibition Park.

    Red River Exhibition Park is located at 3977 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. Turn North off Portage Avenue at the traffic lights by Tim Horton’s onto Racetrack Road. Parking is FREE in the BarkFest Parking Lot beside Exhibition Place (turn left/west into Gate 2 as shown on the Map). Note: DO NOT PARK in the Assiniboia Downs parking lot on the East side of Racetrack Road, you will be ticketed.

  • Heck yeah it will! Have a Pawesome time at BarkFest!

Helpful Tips for a Pawesome Event! 

  • Don’t forget to get your Rescue Raffle 50/50 + Prize Draw Raffle Tickets! 100% of Raffle net proceeds will be donated to this year’s local Animal Rescue Group chosen recipients. Thank you for helping dogs in need!

  • Water stations will be available for your dog, but you should bring your own dog food & bowl. There will also be Food Trucks with Eats + Treats for both you & your pooch!

  • Bring comfortable bedding, blanket or mat so both you & your dog can sit comfortably on the grass field in Central Bark. Picnic tables will be available in various locations, but you can also bring your own collapsible lawn/camping chair. The Entertainment Ring will have bleacher seating but there will also be an area for camping chair seating along with standing room.

  • Enjoy the yummy food & drinks at BarkFest, but be mindful of anything dropping on the ground that may be harmful for pooches to eat.

  • Be sure to visit the BarkFest Bowtique for fun BarkFest Merch including our limited Pick-A-Pup Adoption Kits. 10% of all merch net proceeds will be donated to our Animal Rescue Group chosen recipients!
