K9 ADVOCACY MANITOBA

Meet K9 Advocacy Manitoba Inc.

Registered Charity | Volunteer-Run | Community-Focused

K9 Advocacy Manitoba Inc. is a registered charity and volunteer-run organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals and supporting communities across Manitoba, with a strong focus on rural and northern First Nations communities.

K9 Advocacy was originally started by Jasmine, a nurse working in northern Manitoba, who witnessed firsthand the challenges surrounding animal welfare in remote communities. She recognized that many communities faced significant barriers to accessing veterinary care, spay and neuter services, pet food, supplies, and other essential resources. What began with Jasmine recognizing a need has grown into a network of dedicated volunteers working together to create meaningful, lasting change.

Our work goes far beyond rescue. We travel into communities to assist animals in need, coordinate veterinary care, support spay and neuter initiatives, provide food and essential supplies, arrange transportation, and work alongside community members to find compassionate and sustainable solutions. We also partner with rescue organizations across Manitoba and Canada to help animals find safe, loving homes when needed.

K9 Advocacy receives no government funding and relies on fundraising, donations, partnerships, and our incredible volunteers to continue this work. At our heart, we believe in community, compassion, education, accessibility, and creating a better future for animals and the people who love them.
